“Owambe” is a popular word from the Yoruba ethnic group of Nigeria, used to describe parties & events. I worked with a designer on a personal project to create an events planning app where Nigerians can plan their “Owambes” effectively and free of stress.
How I Helped :
User research: finding out the goals of our users (event planners & vendors) which then influenced the content on the user interface, by helping us determine what kind of features they would be looking for in an app like ours.
Content Strategy: Worked with the designer in creating our tone and voice, user persona, information hierarchy and user journey.
UX Writing: Created the copy on the on-boarding and home pages, as well as microcopy on the call to action buttons, with the goal of making the process simple and easily comprehensible by our users.
