IEM IEI Student's Chapter
The Institution of Engineers (India)-IEM Student's branch started its journey in 2015 and is currently coordinated under the active leadership of Prof. Debashis Jana. Each and every year, it organises workshops, Distinguished Lecture Talks, Events, Alumni Talks, Competitions, etc. Students take active part and get immensely benefited by the activities organised throughout the year.

Institution of Engineering & Technology- IEM Student's branch started its journey in 2021 under the active leadership of Prof. Ankit Ray Ghatak. From the inception, it has been organizing workshops, Distinguished Lecture Talks, Events, Competitions, industry visit etc. Students are taking active part and getting immensely benefited by the activities organized throughout the year.
IEM ISHRAE Student's Chapter
The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE- IEM Student's branch started its journey in 2015 under the active leadership of Prof. Somnath Hazra. ISHRAE’s primary objective is the advancement of the art and sciences of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Engineering & other related Building Services.
IEM SESI Student's Chapter
Solar Energy Society Of India - IEM Student's branch started its journey in 2019 under the active leadership of Prof. Swetadri Ghosh. The objectives of the chapter are to organize workshops, Distinguished Lecture Talks, Events, Competitions, etc. so that students can take active part and get immensely benefited by the activities organized throughout the year.
Activities of the Chapters in 2024
Aptech 2024
The Aptech 2024 competition took place in the month of January and February, 2024. The event was conducted in a hybrid mode, incorporating both online and offline elements. The competition aimed to assess participants' aptitude and technical knowledge through quizzes in the first round, leading to a final round for selected candidates.
Winners:
The winner of the competition, Kajal Kumari, received a cash prize of Rs 600, while the first runner-up, Priyanshu Kumar, was awarded Rs 400. Additionally, all finalists received participation certificates and winner's medals as a token of recognition for their achievements.
POSTERNOVA
On 10th of April, 2024, IEI-IEM Students' Chapter (Electrical Department) arranged a poster presentation competition “POSTERNOVA”. The competition was aimed at providing a platform for students to showcase their posters and share their innovative ideas. The event was well received by the participants and the judges, who appreciated the high quality of the posters.

SIMULCRUM
On 10th of April, 2024, IEI-IEM Students' Chapter (Electrical Department) arranged a project demonstration competition “SIMULCRUM”. The SIMULCRUM model demonstration competition was a unique event where participants showcased their skills and creativity in building models that simulate real-world scenarios or objects. The competition was open to individuals or teams of participants from various fields and disciplines, and the models were built using any suitable materials or technology.

2nd Place: Team ASG-Aditya Sensor Group & Team Apex
3rd Place: Team Voltage Vanguard
