INNOVATE-ON 2k25

INNOVATE-ON, organized under SKILLS STRIKE 5.0 by IET–IEM On Campus, served as a vibrant platform where ideas met innovation and imagination turned into engineering reality. Held on 31st October 2025 at the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Management House, the event encouraged participants to design, develop and demonstrate hardware projects that showcased creativity, problem-solving and technical excellence.

The competition aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, inspiring students to think beyond conventional boundaries and explore real-world engineering challenges through

innovation and teamwork.

This year’s edition witnessed remarkable participation from 34 teams comprising over 200 students, each bringing unique and functional hardware solutions across domains like IoT, automation, renewable energy, and sensor-based systems. The projects reflected originality, feasibility, and the passion to create technology that makes a difference.

INNOVATE-ON

The IET – IEM Student Chapter in association with Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering conducted INNOVATE-ON on November 10, 2023. This event gave the participants to showcase their talents and present their ingenious hardware projects in front of esteemed judges.

Overall, 100 participants participated through different groups and were competing with each other in this event. Participants were mainly from 2nd year and 3rd year EE and EEE Department students of IEM, Kolkata. They presented a spectacular performance which impressed the judges as well as everyone present there. Students displayed various projects based on a vast of ideas.

All the judges present there including the alumni and faculty members were captivated and impressed by their projects. The judges opined that the standard of competition was so good that it was difficult to choose the winners. But after having a discussion among them, the winners were finally announced. They are:
