The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) and Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), IEM Kolkata, organized the 5th International Conference on Innovation in Energy Management and Renewable Resources (IEMRE 2025) from 12th to 14th September 2025. The three-day conference served as a global platform to discuss recent advances in renewable energy, power systems, and sustainable technologies. Distinguished speakers from premier institutes such as IIT Kharagpur, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, DTU Denmark, and NIT Patna delivered insightful keynote lectures. The event featured multiple technical sessions, paper presentations, and an international workshop by Dr. Imran Khan, Tesla, Australia.The conference successfully fostered collaboration between academia and industry, promoting innovation in energy management and renewable systems. With over 100 participants, IEMRE 2025 concluded with a valedictory session that emphasized continued research and global cooperation toward a sustainable energy future.

Three-day International conference on Intelligent Electrical Systems and Industrial Automation 2025 has been successfully concluded which was jointly organized by the Department of EE and EEE of IEM, Saltlake Campus from 25th - 27th June, 2025. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the renowned academician, industry research personnel along with the great presence of the Chief Patron of the Conference Prof. Banani Chakrabarti, Patron Prof. Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti. More than 350 research papers were submitted by the researchers from all over the world. The researchers came to the campus to present their research work. Even, they had an excellent opportunity to present through online mode too. During this Conference, inter college Hardware model competition was organized. On the last day, the prize distribution ceremony and valedictory session were conducted. The Institute always strive for the engagement and togetherness of the field of academics, research as well as industry.

The 4th International Conference on Innovations in Energy Management and Renewable Resources, IEMRE 2024, was organized by Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, on Hybrid mode. The goal of this conference was to assemble eminent researchers across the world to introduce advances in renewable energy generation, storage, management, policy and interfacing with smart grids and to bring up an environment conducive to exchange ideas and thoughts. This gathering gave an ideal situation to grow new coordinated efforts and meet specialists on the referenced fields. The hallmark of this conference was renowned speakers, discussing about the latest strategies, and most recent progressions in the field of Renewable Energy. It is planned to publish the peer reviewed and selected papers of conference as proceedings with Springer in their prestigious “Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering” series (https://www.springer.com/series/7818).

The "Intelligent Electrical System and Industrial Automation" conference is a premier event dedicated to exploring the intersection of cutting-edge technology and industrial automation. With a focus on intelligent electrical systems, this conference brings together experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to share insights, advancements, and best practices in the field. The inaugural ceremony was conducted in offline mode though the sessions were conducted through both online and offline mode considering the choice of the participants. Similarly, the keynote speakers also delivered their speeches through both online and offline mode. We received good numbers of quality papers from national as well as international authors.

The International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical and Mechanical Power, IEMPOWER 2022 has been hosted by Electrical engineering department, Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, India in association with Smart Society, USA.
The conference was held over three days, during 17-19th November, 2022 via online mode and was hosted from Institute of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, India. We received about 45 submission altogether and after 30 papers were selected for presentation after the review process. Out of 30 papers, 28 papers were selected for inclusion in this conference proceedings.

There were about 75 papers submitted and 39 of them were accepted for presentation and submission in the scopus indexed conference proceedings of AIP.

With the success of IEMRE 2019, the conference is back again in expanding its horizon and in making this event bigger under the IEEE banner towards international Conference. The conference IEMRE 2021 featured keynote addresses, invited talk by the eminent Academicians and Industry experts, technical paper presentations. The conference promises to be a great platform to share the research and development activities among the students, researchers, academicians as well as the industries that lead renewable energy as the major resource of electrical energy to ensure greener environment. However, this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation the whole conference IEMRE 2021 is arranged on virtual mode.

IEM Renewable Energy- 2019 aims to provide a platform for students to get an idea about the cutting edge technology in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Management.
