Electrical Machine Laboratory

All types of DC generators and motors, both squirrel cage and wound type 3-phase induction motors, single phase and 3-phase transformers, Synchronous generators and motors, single phase induction motors and induction generator are available in the lab for verification of electromagnetic theory of electrical machines and testings for the same. Required measuring instruments such as volmeters, ammeters, wattmeters (both ac & dc), tachogenerators, multimeters are available for conducting the experiments for finding out the characteristics of different electrical machines and also testing as per BIS specification. All controls of the machines are panel mounted.

Some Notable Equipments:

Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory

Analog and Digital Electronics Laboratory is an introductory experimental laboratory that explores the design, construction, and debugging of analog electronic circuits. Several laboratory experiments investigate the performance characteristics of diodes, transistors,op-amps, 555 Timer, Logic Gates, Multiplexer-Decoder, Register, Counter and several other sequential and combinational digital logic circuits. Students are encouraged in the design and implementationof projects in relevant field.

Some Notable Equipments:

Power Electronics Laboratory

Power Electronics Laboratory enables the students to become familiar with various power electronic devices for different applications, learn the primitive concepts of SCRs, its characteristics and gate triggering circuits, possess an ability to understand the differences between different types of commutation circuits for SCR, control different rectifier circuits using SCRs, know the fundamental concepts of DC-DC converter (chopper), learn about importance of inverter, its principle of operation & control technique

Some Notable Equipments:

Power System Laboratory

Power System Lab is equipped with devices which can be used for the identification of generalized parameters of a transmission line, for measurement of faults, for understanding the working of DC distribution system, for power control of an alternator, for  breakdown strength test of solid and liquid insulating materials and several other purposes. The main purpose of this lab is to provide hands on experience to the students about the day-to-day operation of power transmission, distribution and protection happening around us.

Some Notable Equipments:

Control System Laboratory

In this lab Students will learn to apply Laplace transform, transfer functions, modeling RLC circuit, block diagrams for simulation and control. Students will be able to use the acquired skills to identify, evaluate and solve control engineering problems. Students will be able to design and determine control system’s parameters and transfer functions by combining both theoretical and applied analysis that they have acquired in their control courses and in this lab.Students will be able to apply what they have learned theoretically in the field of control engineering using different techniques.

Some Notable Equipments:

Microprocessor Laboratory

Microprocessor Laboratory is an introductory experimental laboratory  spanning a semester that explores the testing, verifying, and understanding of 8085, 8086 microprocessor and 8051 microcontroller along with its peripherals. Lectures and laboratory experiments helps the students to investigate the organisation and working of the Microprocessor and Microcontroller. Students are encouraged in the design and implementationof projects in relevant field.
