About SAE:

SAEINDIA is India's leading resource for mobility technology. As an individual member-driven society of mobility practitioners, the ownership of SAEINDIA wrests with its members who are Individuals from the mobility community, which includes Engineers Executives from Industry, Government Officials, Academics and Students

SAEINDIA is a strategic alliance partner of SAE International registered in India as an Indian nonprofit engineering and scientific society dedicated to the advancement of the mobility industry in India.

Opportunities:

SAEINDIA provides access to various Research papers, monthly magazines. It also provides an opportunity to participate in Racing and Engineering competitions conducted by SAE like BAJA, SUPRA, EFFI-CYCLE, Tifan, Aero design and tractor design competitions for the members. It also gives opportunities to attend industrial webinar on trending technologies and many more.

Events Organized:

On 17th-25th July 2021, we organized a 4 day workshop on weekends, titled “Solid Modelling and Solid & Aerodynamics Simulation '' with participants from all over the country and a few from abroad as well making it an international event. Around 60 participants attended the session. The speaker was Mr. Soumik Chakraborty, Research Scholar, NIT Durgapur. There were a total of 56 participants, with half of them being paid members.

We also organised a hands on session for solidworks works design and assembly in June, 2021, by our alumni, Aditya Swaroop, currently pursuing MTech, Armament and Combat Vehicles, DIAT, DU, DRDO. It was an interactive session, attended by our club members.

We have organized a webinar on electric vehicle technology and development in india. The speaker was Mr. Mohneet Singh Munday, assistant manager, ICAT. Total registraions for this event was more than 100.

We have collaborated with Ementora group to organize multiple webinars on trending topics

We also organize week long technical quizzes on our social media platforms

SAE Event Participation:

We took part in Efficycle 2021, organised by SAENIS in association with iCAT and Honda. It was a team of 13 people, led by Captain Rehan Aziz. The last evaluation was done on 01st December, 2021 and the result is expected on 05th December, 2021. The event consisted of calculation of subsystems, design and analysis, documentation, business plan and simulation. Our team was sponsored by Solidworks(13 softwares) and Ansys(5 softwares) with IPG carmaker(5 softwares) being the official event sponsor.

We had participated in Baja earlier. We have participated in Efficycle for the fifth time this year.

Achievements:

Effi-Cycle 2019 – All India rank 19

Effi-Cycle 2020 – All India rank 9 and 2 category awards.
