茶道部は ICU内にある国登録有形文化財である泰山荘でお稽古やお茶会をしています。通常 月3回、 火曜日に 10：00～17：00の時間で活動をしています。空き時間の1コマ分だけお稽古に参加する部員も多いです。この茶道部は裏千家です。
外部から先生をお呼びしているので本格的に茶道を習うことが出来ます。初めて茶道を習ったという先輩、留学生も沢山います。
先生へのお月謝、毎週のお菓子・抹茶代、お道具代等として毎学期1万円いただいています。痛い出費かもしれませんが、学外で茶道を習うともっと高いです...。絶対に部活でやったほうがお得！！！また、個人で使うお道具(袱紗、懐紙、菓子楊枝など)も貸し出しはありますが、入部していただく際に用意していただきます。(通販だと4000円以下でそろえることができます。)
火曜日に空き時間がない学期は休部できます。夏に合宿も行います。
仮入部もできるのでぜひ泰山荘に一度寄ってみてください！みなさんと楽しい時間を過ごせるのを楽しみにしています！
＊2021春学期は新入部員全員部費が無料です！
コロナの影響で先生を今学期はお呼びしていません。お稽古は主に23の部員が行う予定です。

We practice tea ceremony and hold tea parties at Taizanso, a nationally registered tangible cultural property in ICU.
We usually have club activities three times a month on Tuesdays from 10:00 to 17:00. Most of the club members come in their free time.
You can learn the courtesy of the tea ceremony since we invite professional teachers from outside.
About half of the club members started the tea ceremony for the first time.
Club members have to pay 10,000 yen per semester. We use the money for the monthly fee to teachers, for buying sweets and matcha for the practice, etc. You may feel it is expensive, but learning tea ceremony off-campus is way more expensive!!
If you decide to join, you have to prepare your own tools such as fukusa, kaishi, etc. You can borrow the tools, but it is good to have your own (you can buy it in less than 4,000 yen!).
If you do not have free time on Tuesday throughout a semester, you can suspend the club activity during that time. We hold a tea ceremony training camp in the summer.
!!!DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, we have not invited teachers for the lessons. 23 students would be teaching for the spring semester.
