Read On Startalk Program (2021)


In this 3-week intense program, we examined different research as well as explored lower and higher level literacy skills. We discussed the appropriate reading goals and applied strategies to revamp the 2013 project. The first two weeks, we went through modules to catch up with the newest CFL reading studies; all the thought-provoking questions pushed us to think about our own teaching context and the teaching implication. The third week was saved for group projects. Each participant was paired with someone else to work on the text assigned. I appreciate all the opportunities for self-paced study and synchronous collaboration. This well-balanced combination helps me maximize my learning.
