世界中に広く分布する、一番多くのモンスターが属している系統それが、食物系である。

フードアンドレーブの世界では、食材が自由に二足歩行をして闊歩しており、モンスターもその代表的な一例と言えよう。

有名な「チーズ」もこの系統に属することが分かる。

この世界に置いて、ケモノ系統のモンスターほど、多くの体力を持ち、攻撃力に優れる種はいないだろう。しかし、表皮に何か強固な守りがあるわけでもないので防御力が低めなのが特徴と言える。守れるとすれば、毛くらいのものである。

この種は現在のVer.ではまだ確認されていないだろう。今後に期待されたし！

地上界最強と歌われるのがこの機械系だということは、疑いようのない事実だ。鋼の体。強力無比な兵器の数々。備え万全の装備。敵を素早く補足するセンサー。別角度に折れ曲げられる奇怪な関節などなど語ればキリがないほど優位点が多い。

しかし、逆に機械というだけあって、素材の耐久力はそれほどでもなく、俊敏に動けることを引き換えに体力の増強を怠っていたことが挙げられる。言わば欠点とはそれくらいなほど万能な種類と言える。

There's no doubt about it, the Machine type is renowned for being the strongest on Earth. Bodies of steel. An array of unparalleledly powerful weapons. Fully prepared equipment. A sensor that quickly captures the enemy. Bizarre joints that can bend at different angles, and so on. There are so many advantages to mention that it would be endless.

However, on the other hand, being a machine, the durability of the material they're made from is not that great, and in exchange for their agile movements, they have neglected to build up their physical strength. So to speak, it can be said that it is a versatile type with only a few shortcomings.

花や、ツタなどを持つ生物がこれに当たる。未だ発見には至っていないが、噂では恐るべき程の攻撃速度を持ち、目にも止まらぬ辺りがまさに自然の驚異を感じさせてくれる系統だ。

地面に根を張り、栄養を汲々しているため、体力が高く、しぶとい厄介な種と言えよう。

These include creatures with flowers, vines, and the like. Though none have been discovered yet, rumours suggest they have fearsome attack speeds, and their blinding speed makes them a true marvel of nature.

As they spread their roots in the ground and draw in nutrients, they are a tough, tenacious and troublesome species.

海に住んだり、川に住んだりするモンスターを不思議とそう名付けることが多い。世界のほとんどが海に覆われていることを考えると、彼らの生息域は恐ろしく広く、且つ、巨大な魚がいても何ら不思議じゃない。

それ故にロマンの対象とされているが、その危険性は計り知れない上に、水中の中では動きが鈍る上、呼吸も出来ない。最も厄介なのはそのフィールドなのか、もしくは彼らなのかは永遠に謎だろう。

Monsters that live in the sea or rivers are often given strange names like this. Considering that most of the world is covered by the sea, their habitat is incredibly wide, and it is not surprising that there are giant fish.

This makes them the subject of romance, but their danger is immeasurable, and their movements become slower underwater, and they cannot breathe. It will forever be a mystery as to whether it is the field or them that is the most troublesome.

鳥類というか、空中を自在に飛行できる種類のモンスターの系統をそう呼ぶことが多い。体が機械でそれでも空を飛んでいる鳥型モンスターを鳥系と言うにはいささか抵抗があるかも知れないが、その辺りは目をつぶってほしい。

時に鳥類は、飛び立った後に巣に帰ってくる傾向を持ち、その巨大な体躯のパワフルさは、他の主のなわばり争いでも常に上位に立つほど、力のある存在だ。モンスター界でも一目置かれた存在として認識されている節がある。

物語最初の村の主がそれに当たる。

This is often used to refer to birds, or rather to a type of monster that can fly freely through the air. You may be a little reluctant to call a bird-type monster that has a mechanical body and yet flies through the air a bird-type, but please overlook that.

特殊を通り越してとても不可解な気分を持たせてくれる、謎のあるモンスターをそう呼ぶ。主に、時空間内に存在するものや、精神的な存在。目に見えない上に障れもしないものなど多種多様に存在する。今の状態では遠く現れることは無いだろう。だが、実は物語序盤の中腹くらいに赴くことになるエリアには確かにその存在がいることが確認できる。

透明の・・まるで幽霊みたいな・・・？

身に覚えのある方も多いと思う。あれに出くわせば命はないだろう。

少々、植物系と被るように思えるが、実は全く違う存在をここでは述べている。彼らは精神体として、生息し、安住の地を求めて彷徨う言わば、霊体のような存在でありながら、知能を持たず、ただただ徘徊するのみの空中浮遊霊とでも言うべきか。小さなものから大きなものまでさまざまだが、それらが物体に取りつくことで起こる現象は万物に多大な影響を及ぼして来る厄介な存在と言えるだろう。

知能の良し悪しはかなり格差があり、貧富の格差以上にこれが大きく開いている。人種的差別も多いが、同族同士の仲は比較的良好となる。

モンスターとは、全く別の存在として認識されており、人々に認知されてはいるが、実は全員結局万物なのだ。

They are an intelligent race that has food and is busy living on the ground. Sometimes many of them gather together to form organizations, communities, or teams, and strangely enough, they tend to like to gather together.

There is a significant gap between people of good and bad intelligence, even greater than the gap between rich and poor. There is also a lot of racial discrimination, but people of their own kind tend to get along relatively well.

機械系と被る節がありそうだが、実は鳥系の話と同じく、これもまた異質。主に、人工的なところとは相反する自然的なものを指すかと思えばそうでもない。言わば、鉱物を加工せずに自然のままモンスターになった種を指す場合が多い。しかし、人工物も含まれている。不明点が多いが、存在を挙げるとしたら、真っ先に思いつくのが、「物語最初の村から出てすぐの崖上にいる存在」辺りが、手頃だろう。飛んでくる辺りもそれに該当するかも知れない。

ちなみに一時的に飛ぶので、飛び続けるわけでは無く、「鳥系」には該当しない。

There may be some overlap with the mechanical type, but in fact, just like the bird type, this is also different. 古代系それは、過去に取り残された遺物。言わば、伝説上の生物や巨大なクモ。数百年は生きながらえているかのように見せる重厚感のあるモンスターをそう呼ぶ。

巨人などもそれに該当するだろう。大昔に滅んだ伝説の都市や建物などもそれに当たる。とにかく出会う前に一目散に逃げる事。運が良ければ見つからずにやり過ごせるかもしれない。運が・・良ければね。

The ancient type are relics left behind in the past. A mythical creature or a giant spider, so to speak. This is the name given to monsters with a profound appearance that appear to have been alive for hundreds of years.
