Interviewing
As an effective method of gathering data, interviewing involves an interviewer posing planned and improvised questions to a respondent on a focused set of topics. Through this method, the interviewer gains targeted access to an individual’s unique perspective, which can provide an human performance technologist with valuable insight. Beyond providing information, the HPT will find interviews useful for learning opinions, establishing a rapport, and discovering problems or opportunities.
