Finding housing in Davis is ridiculously hard.
The purpose of this website is to inform and connect students with housing resources in Davis that are currently available.
A 2016 report from the Urban Institute defines housing insecurity as:
homelessness
the inability to pay rent or mortgage
being cost burdened (spending over 30% of income on rent or mortgage)
living in overcrowded conditions
inadequate housing (that is unsafe or lacks necessities)
unstable housing (such as being evicted or forced to move frequently)
If you are experiencing housing insecurity or having a hard time finding housing available in Davis, you are not alone! Although the lack of action from the university to address the housing crisis is discouraging, there are various resources available and community groups that can provide support.
