ASUCD Community Housing Listing
Similar to the map above, this website also has a map that shows different apartment complexes and townhouses available. This map contains a little more information, including price ranges for units and contact information. You can also filter results by number of bedrooms and bathrooms, by price, and by a few other features.
This map has a few glitches and can sometimes take a long time to load, but it is also a good resource for apartment-hunting beginners.
Davis Affordable Housing Complexes
While there are many apartment complexes that are required to set aside units to rent at affordable rates, most of those units unfortunately are not available to students. However, this list outlines the complexes have units available to students or student families.
Please note that there are often waitlists for affordable units at different complexes, so make sure to call each complex and ask about their availability to learn more.
Solar Community Housing Association (SCHA)
This housing association is also a 501(c) (3) nonprofit that oversees many of the cooperative living communities in Davis, including the Baggins End Domes, the Davis Student Co-op, and more! Some of these locations are on-campus, and some are off-campus in Davis.
The co-ops have a shared leadership structure in which members can vote on different decisions that may affect the community. Shared meals, gardens, chores/property maintenance, and household items help cut down on costs and create a strong community environment. The community also emphasizes values such as social justice and environmental preservation.
Rent at the co-ops is often less than other areas in Davis. The SCHA also offers payment plans, rent assistance, sliding scale rent, and officer or leadership positions that are paid.

Cal Aggie Christian Association: Multifaith Living Community
The Cal Aggie Christian Association (also known as CA House) oversees a group of townhouses that are located across the street from the UC Davis campus. Their mission is to create an intentional community that offers below average rental rates and that centers the following values: community, faith, social justice, and sustainable living. The community is open to people of all beliefs and denominations.
To help foster cooperation between everyone within the community, residents are required to attend weekly communal dinners and to hold a Community Life Position, which can include leadership positions, gardening positions, or positions on committees related to the community values.
Reduced rents, scholarships, and income qualified rent programs are also available.
