Manitowoc, USA, 2009. Rovio Eagle is nineteen, with severe anger issues and a lack of motivation for her future. She's convinced she's not fully in control of her body and mind, and what's worse , no one believes her suspicions.
At the same time, the town is hit by a wave of mysterious deaths, a new detective takes on the task of investigating paranormal events, and in another world, a clone wants to escape from a living cell.
"Hone" is a story of derealization, regret for the past, the search for a father figure, and rebirth. It's about dreams and a sincere belief in one's own omnipotence.

Manitowoc, a small port town on Lake Michigan, USA , is essentially a real city, but with a touch of all the provincial aspects of the states: long highways leading to nowhere, half-forgotten suburbs, and many, many abandoned industrial buildings, abandoned to nature.
A place where Native American beliefs merge with everyday modernity, shops close at 8pm, and children hardly ever walk on the streets.
Eternal slumber.

Regna is a non-physical space, an alternate world where every physical person has their own "copy." Regna has no familiar history or landscape; biomes change every Earthly night, and people settle in areas with the fewest random transformations.

The story's protagonist. 19-year-old high school student suffering from acute mental illness. She is impulsive, straightforward, and loyal.

A Rovio clone from the dream world. A traumatized but reserved leader of her commune. Forced to constantly flee in search of a better life, yet open to new possibilities.
DOUGLAS CHELIEMOUNTAUN
DOUGLAS CHELIEMOUNTAUN
A former Chicago mobster, he is now a construction contractor in and around Manitowoc. One of Rovio's close friends, he is also undergoing therapy after a psychiatric hospitalization.
ROGER KAEDOGAN
ROGER KAEDOGAN
Rovio's psychotherapist, a substitute psychology teacher at her school. Reticent but attentive. He integrates well into society, but maintains a proud and aloof demeanor.
DANIELLE CONNOR
DANIELLE CONNOR
A student at Crane High School and Rovio's best friend. Shy and dreamy, she enjoys photography and art. She's extremely trusting and protective of her loved ones.
ALDO KRIEGER
ALDO KRIEGER
A Catholic pastor and Douglas's longtime best friend, he's a nob insider who harbors secrets from his past after settling in Manitowoc.
JOE KRIEGER
JOE KRIEGER
A Chicago Metropolitan Police officer who relocated to Manitowoc. Aldo's nephew. Hot-tempered, but devoted to his small circle of loved ones.
All characters are connected to each other, whether in the physical world or in the mental one.
