Duncan Solomon, 18, is the son of Haitian immigrants who settled in Manitowoc. His parents instilled in him a love of music from an early age and strongly supported his hobby and style. He is a calm, polite, and attentive guy who cares for his friends. He and Audrey even have matching medallions. He often lectures Rovio due to their "spiritual" connection, but tries not to overdo it.
Duncan doesn't think much about the future, preferring to try as much as possible while young, but he doesn't talk about his "ambitions" to his parents.
Audrey Blake, 18. Rovio's former best friend, their relationship is now coolly neutral. Audrey comes from a well-rounded, healthy family that has long been friends with the Eagle family. Those who don't know Blake might call her childish, but in reality, she's a vibrant, emotional, and creative girl who doesn't try to pretend to be anyone she's not. She's especially close to Duncan, but also has a warm relationship with Danielle.
Odie doesn't worry about life because her parents will always support her in any endeavor.
Zane Kenneth, 19. He's been friends with Rovio since kindergarten. Their paths have now diverged, but they still exchange small talk in the school hallways. He also repeated a grade. Zane was born to a military father and a housewife, and he often clashes with his father over their principles and worldviews. His brash and punkish personality can be off-putting, but when he's close, Zane enjoys discussing philosophy and solving his friends' problems.
He often confides his worries about the future to Rovio, but shows no weakness in front of others.
Sam (Samantha) Kassler, 19. A former classmate of Duncan, Odie, Dani, and Rovio, she was forced to interrupt her education due to mental health issues. She occasionally shows up at school, but often avoids people. An outsider, Sam has no friends, and she is deeply offended when Rovio tries to distance herself from her, ignoring their former relationship. She is an erudite and eccentric girl, but obsessive thoughts interfere with her social life. Partly because of this, Sam can't stand Dani and is jealous of her former friend.
There are rumors that Kessler is interested in the occult. How true are they?
A Citadel worker who maintains internal processes. He appears as a humanoid with equine features and is one of the tallest Ants in the community. He is friends with Hone and often turns a blind eye to her forays after curfew. Responsible and caring, he cares for his friends while simultaneously remaining with the SRD and recognizing the Ants' independence.
Fairy, one of the Citadel's workers. She appears like a tiny fairy, often busy with household chores and babysitting small children. Her easygoing nature and friendly nature allow her to befriend even the rewbolts, but due to her small stature, she rarely leaves the stable zone.
The Mad Hatter. Sellick is a traveling performer, earning his living through performances. Raised in the Citadel, he failed to embrace the SRD philosophy, left the stable zone, and changed his name, trying to forget his past.
One of the residents of the independent communes. Strangers raised her to be a warrior, protecting her small community. She maintains a friendship with Hone, often sharing news and discussing common interests. They even have matching jewelry.
Magpie has a high authority among the antes; she often runs out to defend the communes from spiders and successfully repels their attacks, but she does not join the SRD as a matter of principle.
