Course Description

Introduction to the historical, liturgical and ritual world of Christian worship. Discuss issues related to the sacraments, current worship practices, worship space, worship design, as well as liturgical contextualisation will be described.

Objectives:

-To familiarises students with the historical, liturgical and ritual world of Christian worship

- To introduce basic worship structures and ritual elements, in order to enable them to construct and lead effective, theologically sound, and intentional worship in their own congregations.

-To provide supervised practical experience in worship design; and leadership responsibilities.
