This course explores the biblical basis of mission and evangelism, and its practice. Emphasis is given to a survey of foundational concepts and topics in the Bible. Their application, in witnessing and involvement will be emphasized. Contemporary issues and challenges in mission and evangelism will be explored both in the rural and the urban context perticularly in the context of the Anglican church in Sarawak.ย
Course Objective:
To gain biblical understanding of mission and evangelism, and the call to mission
Develop practical mission applications based on the biblical understanding of mission: equipping, empowering and mobilizing for mission.

Course Evaluation:
Assignment 1 : Write an essay on any ONE of the following topics: (Long essay: 1,500 words)
A critical essay on the history of the Anglican mission in Sarawak. Respond to the critical issues regarding missions.
An essay on obeying the Great Commissions in the context of the Anglican Church in Sarawak. Respond to the challenge of the changing nature of missions.
Assignment 2 : Participate in a mission trip and write a report and your reflection on the trip. (2,000 words)
