In honor of the great tradition of music at the Shrewsbury-Windle House, Historic Madison looks forward to welcoming musicians to the house again. Included in this tradition, we know that an orchestra played at the 1849 housewarming party given by the Shrewsbury family shortly after the house was built. John and Ann Windle were also avid music lovers and invited musician friends to play in the home as often as possible. The home has played host to numerous musicians ever since.
