Group tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
Group tours can be booked and provided year-round, but site availability does vary.
Group tours often include a discounted rate, but may include administrative fees if more than one site is part of a visit.
With some sites, we can adjust the length of the tour to fit your group's needs. Please let the staff know when booking how much time your group has.
If your group has special accessibility needs, please include that note when booking. Many of our sites can be easily adapted for those with restrictions.
For larger groups, we can divide into smaller subgroups for a better experience.
If you have questions about other facilities, sites, or hospitality partners, please let us know, and we will help you schedule the best day for your group in Madison!
All tours are guided tours.
On the day of your tour, you will meet at the site you are touring a few minutes before the tour begins. You'll be greeted by a guide and an HMI staff person who will collect the fee for the tour.
The sites are not open beyond the tour time unless there is a special open house or other event.
Groups of 8 or more should schedule a group tour by calling the HMI Office at 812-265-2967.
For all other questions, please call the HMI Office or email us at hmi@historicmadisoninc.com.
