Description: Hibiscus rosa sinensis is a bushy ever green shrub or small tree growing 2.5 to 5 m tall and 1.5 to 3 m wide. Its stem is erect, aerial, green, cylinder and branched. Its flower is bloom In summer and autumn. Cultivars and hybrids have flowers in a variety of colors as well as red: white, pink, orange, peach, yellow, blue, and purple. Some plants have double flowers.
Flowering and Fruiting: Summer and Autumn.
Economic Importance: The flower is used as an accessory, particularly as a hairpiece. It is also used to shine shoes in certain parts of India, hence the common name “shoeblack plant”.
