Before applying, let's make sure you meet the basic requirements:
• You are currently 18+ years of age
• You have a deviantART account that is at least 2+ months old, or can prove that you have an old account that is at least that old. (An account that meets the age requirement but otherwise has no or very little proof of use may require further proof, ie. social media accounts.)
• You have a Discord account, or are able to create and use one.
• You are not banned from the group or on joining cooldown.
(Returning members must wait 2+ months before rejoining, unless told otherwise)

[JOINING]
The first step you should take is to note the group for access to the Discord server.
If your dA account is less than 2 months old, please provide us with links to a previous account so we can verify!
Once you're in the Discord, you can try to use one of these two methods to get your foot in the door:
1. Membership Vouchers
Existing members are given 2 vouchers per year to invite nonmembers to join the group. A lot of members love to bring new people in and are eager to meet people. Once you're in the discord, you can ask for someone willing to sponsor you or just hang out, and someone should be willing to invite you in!

2. Kitten Tryouts
Members are allowed to bring in as many nonmembers as they want when their characters have litters. If you aren't handed a kitten by a friend, you can check out the pins in the nonmembers and advertisements channels and see if there are any open litters. Remember, tryouts aren't guaranteed!
3. Openings
On the occasion, Havensake will host openings. During these openings, the tribes with the lowest numbers will be opened to prioritize getting their numbers up. Nonmembers in the discord will have the opportunity to fill out their application and send it in for review during the opening period and join without needing an existing member vouching for them.
Noting groups on dA has changed; you will need to message us on the front page, and you will only be able to view the chain when we reply.

When you submit your application for review, please make sure to include your username in the title and note the group with the following information:

The form above must be filled out in its entirety for your application to be considered.
Existing members should also use this form (minus the last question) to submit new characters into the group.
Kitten Turn-In Guidelines (Newbies):
If joining the group with a kitten, please ensure your note is sent in at least 7 days before the litter is born so we have time to review! If you are late to submitting a kitten, you will incur penalties with each late day. The penalties are as follows (differing from penalties for current members):
1 Day Late: No penalty
2 Days Late: Kitten is denied and new member does not join the group, + incurs a 2-month penalty before being able to reapply.

[Let's Make A Character!]
So- you've joined the discord, you've either gotten a voucher, kitten, or it's an opening period... Well- now what? Worry not! Let's walk you through the process of making a character!
The first thing you're going to need is the visual application. You can find all of the PSD's for the tribe apps here.
Let's start with the basics! Here is Bob. He'll be our tutorial cat!
Bob will be joining the group as a Shadow-Tribe secondary healer.
On the visual application, his fullbody app art is readable and not too sketchy. If Bob's pose is ever unreadable, shaded, or if he decides to wear a full outfit that covers most of his pelt, a flat colored version should be provided in the description of the submission. Admins may ask you to clean up the app art if it's too messy to be accepted.
The inactive tatoo, unless obscured by hair or an accessory, should be visible on the fullbody. The tattoo section of the application is typically used to show off the active tattoo, but can just be the inactive as well. When the tattoo is active, some part of the tattoo will touch the eye(s), causing them to glow.
Onto the written application!
We'll be filling out the bare basics of the written application below. True names and Kit names can be the same, or they can be different; just make sure that the true name you want is not currently in use!

Bob is a very friendly cat who loves to help out those around him! He's a wonderful team player and always takes initiative, putting himself out there with confidence. He loves to run around and play, is active, and tries to keep his friends and tribemates busy by giving them fun projects to work on with him that he calls "bonding exercises." A lot of what he does comes from concern and care; however, Bob can be a bit overbearing with how worried he can be for others. He hovers over people and asks constantly if they need any help, and even if they show signs of being annoyed, he might not pick up on the social cues to stop, or may be a bit controlling in his efforts to be useful or helpful. On top of that, he's also quite clumsy! He trips over his paws and he constantly bumps into things, leading him to getting bruises and scratches a lot. Things fly over his head easily, which can lead to miscommunications or to him being confused, causing him to be an easy target for pranks or bullying. But overall, he tries his best to be a good friend and a great tribemate!
History:
Benjamin grew up in a village not too far away from Corondryx. He lived with his family in a small cabin, and would enjoy running around and playing with his littermates. The village itself was pretty small, with a niche community that would always provide for each other.
Ben's mother Karen had always taught Ben to be nice to everybody, so Ben grew up loving the world and trying to be helpful wherever he could go. But despite how loved he felt in his home, and how close he was to his siblings, Ben felt like there was more to the world. He wanted to explore.
Before he left, he made sure to tell his parents and siblings that he loved them, and said his goodbyes to the rest of his village. Ben set out on his mission and left, and after a while of wandering and finding new things on his adventures, he soon finds himself in the land of Corondryx. He stumbles upon the totems, and feeling a pull towards one in particular, touches it. A surge of power rushes through him, and a name is whispered in his ears.
Bob.
With a new name, a tattoo, and a newfound sense of purpose, Bob follows the pull in his soul towards the Shadow-Tribe camp to start his new life in the tribes.

Just like he had said, Kahili had left to seek out Huck the following day. Tail sweeping behind him he searches around the camp, ears perking up as he spots the adolescent and walks over. Around his side he has a satchel strapped to him, and some boxed lunch packed inside alongside a few pieces of paperwork and supplies.
"Huck," He greets him with a nod, tail lifting as he slows his pace and stops nearby the soldier. "There ya are. Are ya ready to get goin'? I'm thinkin' we can head on across the bridge to study near Grimlight Woods."
Now you have your character made, and you're ready to send it in! Let's fill out that note to join!
