Recommended Items for Each Patrol Sled Please Note:
No Wheels allowed on sleds – sorry “old school”
Patrol Flag/Patrol Cheer
Compass / Clipboard / Paper / Pen
First Aid Supplies (to include cravats, splints, bandages, etc.)
Hand Axe w/ sheath
Bow saw with sheath
At least one watch per patrol
At least 60 feet of lashing rope, lashing twine
Pocket Knives (min. of 2 per patrol) Must also have Totin Chip present for anyone with a knife.
1 Small Mess Kit Cooking Pot (w/ hanging handle)
Roll of Toilet Paper (kept dry)
1 small box of matches w/ striker (kept dry) [Flint & Steel as an alternate to Matches]
Enough kindling to start a small fire
3 Long Poles (at least 6’ long)
1 full-size blanket
Water bottles for each patrol member
Soup- 2 cans/ Scout in Patrol required for Klondike Stew * 1 Bonus point for each additional can to a maximum of bonus of 10.
Scout Handbook (Any version is acceptable)
Klondike Sled (see sled guidelines under “Sled Race” in the Program Guide)
