CUB SCOUT YUKON TRAIL
SOUTH RIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH - 7 PITTSTOWN ROAD in CLINTON, NJ
To make the Yukon Trail a success and fun for Cub Scouts and enjoyable for parents, it is important to be prepared:
WEATHER & CLOTHING
Participation in any winter event can be a lot of fun or a miserable experience - it all depends on preparation. By wearing several layers of clothing, you can enjoy the outdoors! The Yukon Trail is an outdoor event and we will be outside from approximately 1:00pm until 4:45pm. Both Cub Scouts and Parents should be dressed for the weather in layers and prepared for a change of weather.
NO SNEAKERS OR SHOES – Snow Boots or Waterproof Hiking Boots are encouraged. Wool socks are recommended for both scouts and parents!
Remember Hat, Gloves/Mittens, and Scarf.
Snow Pants are great on cold winter days!
Outer layers protecting against the weather of the day if it is wind, snow or rain.
Scouts should all wear their RANK NECKERCHIEFS over their top layer. Neckerchiefs should be tied in a knot. Please do not wear rank slides unless the neckerchief is knotted underneath - they will get lost.
Bring Spare Socks & Shoes to keep in the car. Scouts can have these to change their shoes before heading home to keep your car clean and their feet warm.
