I have little experience other than in my OU studies. I use social media sites very little, use the online forums and email mainly. I have used design studio, via my non medical helper in the past when I completed a design module as part of my BSc in Environmental Studies
In the past I was a Head Teacher (before online was invented). Before retirement I worked within the Health & Safety Dept of the Government Lecturing up to Degree Level. I am looking to be able to provide assistive training for people with additional needs on a voluntary basis. To date I tutor a variety of courses to Carers but wish to move to service users.
The project will give me an example of how to use the learning environment we chose and how to adapt it for using with assistive technologies. Being able to make mobile maps of any kind would be a skill that will be extremely useful to me in my, hopefully, new role
I am Deputy Director of CLEAPSS, which is a an advisory service for Science education covering how to do practical work safely. This operates mostly in England, Wales, & NI, but does include some overseas work (UAE, Singapore, Europe etc...) See http://science.cleapss.org.uk/
Most of the resources CLEAPSS provides are either written guides on how to do practical work, or face to face training. There is some energy to move to some limited online training.
My work at CLEAPSS includes the use of social media hence why I choose this. We don't really cover history or direct pupil learning resources, but it will be good to see how to increase engagement through social media.
Experienced e-Learning developer/learning technologist currently working within a Higher Education Institution in Scotland.

Hallo, This is Tabitha Naisiko, am glad we have come this far. Am happy because soon I will be able to design and upload my own course. I have been operating in a traditional approach. Thanks OU for this course and thanks Common Wealth Commission for the scholarship that is giving me this opportunity.
I work with students across three universities in a unique Library and computing services building that is housed in an ex-navy Drill Hall.
Using this web-site is teaching me how it feels to be a student or new learner again, it is hard and frustrating and not always intuitive.
I think that these feelings are very good to consider when designing a new learning experience, such as an interactive historical programme, because it reminds me to keep it all as simple and accessible as we can. If something is too complicated or too gee-whizz then people will disengage and then how will they learn?
I am Managing Director of Cymru Care Training, a private training provider that delivers specific training courses for work-based learners working in care environments (care homes, nursing homes, domiciliary care etc.).
Due to my ICT teaching background, I am responsible for the design and creation of the e-learning resources and in the last 3-4 years have redesigned our online resources to be more mobile friendly and to utilise micro-learning.
The whole mobile and social technology aspect of the project interests me, as these are areas I need to develop more for CCT. I am keen to implement social learning aspects into our delivery model for the upcoming new Health & Social Care awards. Also, all of CCT's e-learning provision needs to be mobile friendly.
