Design Principle: Connectivism
Knowledge is found in the relationships between networks, the networks are mediated by technology, in other words they only exist because of technology and include blogs, websites, other social media, and other members of the learning or professional community.
To learn, the learner does not need to hold traditional knowledge that is cumulative and structured. Instead, they move between networks and learn as they encounter different artefacts. They do not need to rely on memory and learning by rote because the resources are always accessible.

Pedagogy: The instructor or tutor can aid navigation, but the learner should also be proficient themselves.
Knowledge lies in the sharing of social media and posts, the material used and created, as part of the AR tour will contribute to the knowledge base of the tour and create a more engaging experience.
When a structured tour is combined with shared social media and the independence of the learner then it creates multiple sites of knowledge and learning, but also multiple points where the user can choose to disengage if the material is not meeting their needs or the technology becomes too difficult. AR tours need to be practical and engaging, but also maybe they should not try to deliver too much in any one tour.
