To keep order within the police we have a set of rules that need to be followed. Disregarding or blatantly breaking these rules may result in disciplinary action. Keep in mind that server rules come before cop rules at all times.
You are whitelisted as a police officer, so act like one. As an officer of the law you are expected to act in strict accordance with the laws of this island. You will not aid criminal activity, and you will be a pillar of the community. You represent the server.
Always keep your roleplay to a high standard.
When you log on the server to play, you are required to be in a patrol channel for the corresponding server on Teamspeak.
Do not go AFK in game, and do not remain in PD for more than 10 minutes (excluding in-game valid reasons).
You must have your GPS and radio equipped on you at all times unless they have been seized (following server rules). If they have been seized you must prioritise regaining your radio as soon as possible.
Your name in-game, on Teamspeak and on Interpol must all be the same in order to avoid confusion. If you wish to change your name, contact your department management (C/INSP-C/SUPT).
You are not allowed to have gang tags on Teamspeak.
Under no circumstances will you live stream any operations or banks. This is vital, as it shows our targets, locations and tactics.
When you are whitelisted as Police you are not allowed to play as a civilian. Exceptions:
Attending Conflict Zones (must have [C] in your name to attend)
Valid reasons include retrieving an auction item, paying property tax, or dealing with gang-related base bidding (ask A/CC+ for permission)
Playing as other Factions, e.g. HATO or NHS
Between 12 AM and 8 AM GMT everyday or when police slots are full. See rules regarding this on the Holidays, Leave of Absence & Off Duty page.
If you have broken rules or have been disputed, or you believe someone else broke rules, always try to solve things in a constructive and polite manner amongst yourselves. Only after an attempt to solve has been made should you put up a forum report (where server rules are involved) or report to higher-ranking officers (where police rules are involved).
Use your common sense: if you think that you should not be doing something, the chances are that you are correct.
You cannot be management in multiple special departments:
You may not be S/NPAS, S/RTO at the same time.
Cops have to maintain a minimum of 20 hours per month.
If you are going to be away for any reason, please make sure to contact a C/INSP+ of your department, he or she will process your LOA request.
If you have been removed and you feel it was unjustified, you may contact any A/CC+ to look into the decision within 72 hours of removal.
As a Police Officer, you are not to give away any Police equipment or vehicles to Rebels.
If you are On-Duty, on Holiday or Off-Duty, trolling other officers is not allowed.
You can not put items into/take items out of your personal properties while playing as Police.
You are NOT allowed to kill any officers at any time. This includes finishing an officer who is downed and awaiting a revive, or death.
PCSOs are only allowed a lethal weapon when given permission by a C/SUPT+ or S/RTO+ or if they are doing an assessed patrol with an RTO.
Do not take excessive amounts of ammo, toolkits, spike strips and first aid kits on patrol. Although they are not that expensive, if you take several out on patrol, you risk giving criminals easy access to police equipment.
Using your taser or stun gun to shoot officers is only allowed in authorised training sessions (PCSO Training). Doing this at any other time is strictly forbidden.
As a PCSO, to leave the green zone you must be patrolling with an SPC+.
You are not allowed to use your taser or stun gun on any vehicle, doing so will result in severe disciplinary actions.
It is vital that communications are maintained to a high standard when you patrol. You must ensure that your whispers are clear, concise, and accurate. If you are whispered to, it is imperative that you reply.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your whispers are set correctly and that you understand how to use them before you begin patrolling. If whispers and communications are not to the acceptable standard, you should ask someone to help you rectify any issues before continuing with your career in the APC.
There are specific rules regarding ranks, vehicles and gear, check for them in the Regulations section.
