Instructor's Feedback:
Hi Greg,
Great job on this deep dive. I especially appreciated your discussion of how technology drives social media evolution. All of the Oculus stuff and living in the Metaverse is just mind blowing to me at the moment...but perhaps 20 years from now I'll sound like Clifford Stoll does to us!
I also loved reading your response to media selection. I think for folks 40+ we very much view phones as a personal touch. Sometimes I hear younger folks talk about phone calls as very intrustive--the very opposite of a personal touch. Fascinating stuff.
The metaphor of an "addictive Swiss army knife" was really poignant!
Keep up the good work!
Warmly, Dr. Peterson
Instructor Feedback:
Hi Greg,
Well done on this deep dive assignment.
I liked how you talked about the tracking of devices and the condition, etc. that was a step beyond simple social media policy. You also did a nice job training out the consequences of violating the policy you put forth.
At the end when you shared Ohio University's AUP I had to laugh a bit. I knew there had to be one...but I confess that I've never read it. It's interesting how these kinds of documents can exist and we are aware they live "out there" but we don't actively think about this.
Well done~ Warmly, Dr. Peterson
