In the last ten years, Greenburgh has passed dozens of policies, resolutions, and local laws to make our town cleaner, greener, and stronger. Every decision, from recycling rules to green building standards, is shaping a healthier, more sustainable community for our families and the next generation.
On May 15, 2025, the Greenburgh Town Board approved a resolution supporting Packaging and Recycling Act in Albany, New York.
The Greenburgh Conservation Advisory Council has been pushing for stronger laws dealing with recycling and plastics for several years. At their urging the Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved the following resolution last night supporting efforts to help our planet survive! We’re pleased that there is momentum for this legislation and hope that lawmakers in Albany will recognize how much support there is for this important law. We’re all hopeful that the Packaging and Recycling Infrastructure Act will be approved by both the Senate and Assembly and signed into law by the Governor. Read more
