Dear Friends in Christ,
Welcome to our Fourth Quarterly Newsletter, A World at Prayer News. I hope you find it worthwhile, informative and maybe even inspirational. Venerable Patrick Peyton, Pray for us!
Mary is alive!
One day in 1994, I received a call to the bedside of Mr. LeBlanc, a gravely ill gentleman whom I knew to be a man of devout faith. In the hospital room where he lay dying, his adult daughter, son and the son’s wife surrounded him with warm and loving attention. Following the Anointing of the Sick and Viaticum, he requested the reading of some scripture passages. Although clearly in pain and dying, he was beaming with joy and, in a barely audible voice chanted softly, “Alleluia.” In a quiet moment between prayers, he suddenly began to share with his children and me the reason for his joy. He said: “I can see someone coming toward me. She is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, and I think I know who she is.” He then said: “There are many others with her.” At this his daughter stroked his arm gently and whispered: "Dad, if you wish to go with them, please do so. Now we know you are going to something wonderful. Don't worry about us; we will be fine.” A few moments later he slipped away with great joy and peace.
I have no doubt that I had just witnessed the Mother of God, coming to take home a good man who prayed millions of times those beautiful words from the Hail Mary: "Holy Mary, Mother of God. Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." Mary is alive! She came to escort a good man of faith to the embrace of her Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary is Alive!
The last words of Venerable Peyton were, "Mary, my Queen, my Mother!" May the Blessed Mother bless us on our journey home.

Mothers around the world have many things in common. One such commonality is that they pray every day, all day for the well-being of their children. Often that prayer is the Rosary. Here are the prayers and testimonies of a few such mothers.
"The Rosary has helped us overcome the loss of my brother due to the pandemic. It has helped us avoid falling into despair and accepting God's will. It is now customary for us to pray the Holy Rosary every day together. Thank you for your spiritual support and encouragement." This is one of many testimonies of faith we receive from around the globe. We welcome and encourage you to share your story of how the rosary transformed your family.

Dear Jesus,
Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth.
We beg you, therefore, to hasten the day of his beatification, so that your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that the family that prays together stays together, will imitate him in his devotion to your Mother and ours, and will be inspired by his holy life to draw ever closer to you with childlike confidence and love. Amen.
