I designed the Introduction to the Medicare Hierarchy learning course to provide continuing education to Medical Directors and clinical staff.
Responsibilities: Instructional Design, eLearning Development
Audience: Optum Health
Tools Used: Articulate Storyline 3, PowerPoint, SnagIt,
Year: 2021
This project consists of an online learning course developed using Articulate Storyline 3 for the client to utilize in continuing education CBT learning.
This project was developed as an eLearning course for students to take prior to attending a four-day instructor-led course. The objective was to engage the learner in pre-work and introduction to new concepts in order to prepare them for the ILT class.
Working with SMEs for content, I constructed this 1-hour module using Articulate Storyline 3 and PowerPoint. Graphics were sourced from the client.
Once the course passed review, I uploaded it to the host LMS and published it for use.
This was a challenging course design due to content from SMEs having been delivered in small chunks. After multiple rounds of Agile style review, the course was approved and published. I learned how to adapt, and in some cases, construct change during live Teams meetings.
The client's needs were met with the deliverable and the reaction to the final product was enthusiastic.

This project consists of an online learning course developed using Articulate Storyline 3 for the client to utilize in continuing education CBT learning.
This project was designed to deliver supplemental learning to the target audience in order to provide a broader understanding of the process.
Working with SMEs for content, I constructed this 30-minute module using Articulate Storyline 3 and PowerPoint. Graphics and photography were sourced from the client.
Once the course passed review, I uploaded it to the host LMS and published it for use.
This course utilized the ADDIE style process and was overall a smoothly executed project. Agile style review was utilized in order to ensure the client's needs were met, the course was approved and published. I was able to implement several interactive features for the learner into the course.
The client's needs were met with the deliverable and the reaction to the final product was very positive. The project was completed on time and under budget.

This project consists of an online learning course developed using Articulate Storyline 3 and Camtasia for the client to utilize in continuing education CBT learning.
This project was designed to provide the learner with specific content that had previously only been available via ILT. For this module, I recorded a live presentation hosted on MS Team by the SME. Then I obtained the original PowerPoint presentation, and after editing the audio using Camtasia, merged the audio, presentation, and content into Storyline. I utilized Otter.ai for transcript development for this course. Once the course passed review, I uploaded it to the host LMS and published it for use.
This course utilized the ADDIE style process and was another smoothly executed project. Agile style review was utilized in order to ensure the client's needs were met, the course was approved and published. I was able to hone my skills in merging content using several platforms and demonstrate audio editing skills.
The client's needs were met with the deliverable and the reaction to the final product was well received. The project was completed on time and under budget.

This project consists of an online learning course developed using Articulate Storyline 3 for the client to utilize in continuing education CBT learning.
For this project, after determining the needs of the client, I started with a storyboard to outline the project and order the necessary elements for the course. Storyboarding included meeting with training representatives in order to ensure the content for the course was accurate for their needs. The course design called for one module with a total learning time of under 30 minutes. The client requested a built-in assessment capability as a knowledge check. Articulate Storyline 3 was chosen based on the best use for implementation into the LMS.
Following storyboarding, curation of materials in the form of graphics and photos were obtained from the client. A video was obtained from an SME along with his Powerpoint presentation. I used Camtasia to separate the audio and then reformatted the slides to fit into the course. After pairing the audio and new slide content into the course, I used Otter.ai to create a transcript for universal accessibility.
Once the course passed review, I uploaded it to the host LMS and enabled it for use.
The client's needs were met with the deliverable and the reaction to the final product was enthusiastic. The project was completed on time and under budget.
Storyline 3 is quite similar to 360 and is an excellent course design program for eLearning courses in a SCORM compliant format that enables the client to port the course easily without significant expense or existing infrastructure. I was able to utilize ID skills and processes during the creation of the course, communicate with SME in the storyboarding and content creation, and working within a specified timeframe to create the deliverable. New skills of using Camtasia for audio/visual content and Otter.ai for transcription help to increase my skill levels.
