I designed the DCHARTE learning course to provide onboarding education to new employees of Allegiance Mobile Health.
Responsibilities: Instructional Design, eLearning Development
Audience: Allegiance Mobile Healthcare
Tools Used: Adobe Articulate 360, Screencastify
Year: 2020
This project consists of an online learning course developed using Adobe Articulate 360 for the client to utilize in the onboarding training.
For this project, after determining the needs of the client, I started with a storyboard to outline the project and order the necessary elements for the course. Storyboarding included meeting with training representatives in order to ensure the content for the course was accurate for their needs. The course design called for 3 modules with a total learning time of under 30 minutes. The client requested a built-in assessment capability as a knowledge check. Adobe Articulate 360 was chosen based on the best use for implementation into the LMS.
Following storyboarding, curation of materials in the form of graphics and photos were obtained from the client. The design was straightforward and assessments were added at the end of each module with a cumulative assessment to end the course.
The client's needs were met with the deliverable and the reaction to the final product was enthusiastic. The project was completed on time and under budget.
Adobe Articulate 360 is an excellent course design program for eLearning courses in a SCORM compliant format that enables the client to port the course easily without significant expense or existing infrastructure. I was able to utilize ID skills and processes during the creation of the course, communicate with SME in the storyboarding and content creation, and working within a specified timeframe to create the deliverable.
