Western Geriatric Medicine Academic 1/2 Day Schedule

Tuesday afternoons beginning promptly at 1:00-3:00p.m., is protected time for academic half day sessions. This time may vary to accommodate guest speakers’ schedules or if we are having a joint half day with another program. Format for academic half day will involve didactic teaching, journal club review with epidemiology teaching, case study with physical exam skills, and Web based modules.

The Western Geriatric Medicine Tuesday Afternoon Rounds are a self-approved group learning activity (Section1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Geriatric Interdisciplinary Grand Rounds

GIGRs are highly valuable educational activities that are mandatory for all sub-specialty residents to attend unless schedule does not permit.
