Physics of the Earth
This provides a background on the physics used in Ontario Geofish, which is my main blog to make fun of those who don't know basic physics. This is under construction as I add a few lines per day. It's horribly painful to me, but I press on.
Basic physics is something you encounter every day. If you look at a system, such as the weather, physics breaks it down into forces. For engineers, the laws are: Force equals Mass times Acceleration, and "You can't push on a rope". Many other laws, such as Conservation of Momentum, are derived from this. The weather involves heat flow, and buoyancy, with lots of forces.
