Once all the teachers had placed their bets, Dr. Floyd scurried from the room. He said he would be back tomorrow, with his valet, Mademoiselle Jeanne Passepartout. “And we shall depart on time.” he declared.
Your team is nervous. A trip around the world will require some planning, especially if learning new digital tools in the process. And in only 80 days!
Begin by scheduling a CLT meeting so that your team can make some crucial decisions. Be aware that during this adventure, it is possible you may have to deviate from your plans and there will be bumps in the road. That may just be the way things are with Dr. Phileas Floyd!
Some of your team members have decided to look at a map. Below you will find the map for your journey. As you move through your travels, the next stop on your journey will appear. The map may contain some help for you along the way. Be sure and check it often. (you’ll see a link in each email.)
Because time is critical, your days will be tracked. See the map for tracking details by clicking the globe icon.
As your team moves along, you will follow the map that Dr. Floyd has planned. You will receive installments of each chapter of this story throughout the first semester in your email. The story will tell you where you will travel, how you will get there, and what challenges you will have along the way. This map also contains pertinent links to get you through the challenges. When you are faced with a challenge you don't know how to complete, check the map.
Place one Google Tool in your suitcase. If your team uses other tools during your lessons with students that are not Google tools, you may pack one of those as well. (example: Flipgrid).
Once you have your suitcase packed for your team. Wait for Chapter 3. This will be in your next installment of Around Google in 80 Days.
