As our name suggests, our group covers the area dominated by the Chiltern Hills, with our membership currently located in the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. We are friendly, informal group with no membership subs. and we have members who run both standard and narrow gauge locos on 45mm track. We have a programme of social events during the winter months, meeting up in members homes, and with regular running dates in the Spring and Summer on the five tracks we currently have at our disposal. This has all been in abeyance for the last 12 months due to the Covid pandemic, although many of us have kept in touch with each other by phone or e-mail, but we are hoping to get back to something nearer normal very shortly. Among our active membership we have people who have built their own garden railways, locomotives, and rolling stock from scratch and have plenty of experience and advice to offer to any new members who may wish to join us. Much of the enjoyment our hobby derives from meeting up and chatting with others who share our interest, rather than going it alone!
