BIOGRAPHY


Richard Levy is professor of neurology at Sorbonne University. He is heading the "Institute of Memory and Alzheimer 'disease (IM2A)” at la Salpetriere Hospital (Paris, France). IM2A is home to a memory clinic, a research unit for clincal trials and a neuro-psycho-behavioral unit for the management care of patients with behavioral problems at the crossroads of neurology and psychiatry. 


He is also leading the FRONTlab research team at the Paris Brain Institute (ICM). The lab objective is to better understand the processes and neural bases of goal-directed behavior in healthy human and in patients with damage to the frontal lobes.


Richard Levy has been trained in Pr Y. Agid and B. Dubois’ clinical and research teams. He has also been a research fellow in P.S. Goldman-Rakic’s lab at Yale (1994-1996) and he was the head of the neurological department at Saint-Antoine University hospital (from 2007 to 2015).
