Have you ever wondered what Mountain Dew’s answer to Strawberry Fanta would be? No? Well, too bad, I’m going to tell you anyway: It’s Star Spangled Splash.

For those who read my Freedom Fusion review, Star Spangled Splash is one of the other new 4th of July Dews that I randomly found at Tractor Supply. The flavor is described simply as “red berry,” so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.

This is definitely, absolutely a strawberry Dew. Sometimes I think I can detect the slightest hint of cherry in there too, but the dominant flavor is undoubtedly strawberry. It may not be the most unique Dew, but what it lacks in originality, it makes up for in tastiness.

I couldn’t help but think of Supernova, the strawberry melon Dew, while I drank this. Supernova is still far superior, but this is the closest I’ve had to it in over a decade, so that probably enhanced my enjoyment.

Simply put, if you like strawberry-flavored things, you’re going to like Star Spangled Splash. You guys know I love the fruity Dews, so I’m totally vibing with this one.
