VALERIE SUN, Ed.D.

Valérie (@MlleValSunshine) est une éducatrice spécialisée en technologie et en immersion depuis 12 ans dans des écoles privées et publiques. Elle a de l’expérience dans tous les niveaux de la maternelle jusqu’à l’université. Elle a développé et enseigné un programme d'immersion française avec l’intégration de la technologie à Los Angeles ainsi qu'un programme de robotique. Sa thèse et ses travaux de recherche portent sur le soutien aux enseignants et aux parents dans les programmes d’immersion. Actuellement, elle est consultante chez EmpowerED Consulting, conceptrice de programmes d'études et chargée de cours à temps partiel au CSU, à Fullerton, dans le département de l'éducation élémentaire et bilingue.

Violette Dunn

Violette was born and raised in the South of France. Her passion for language and travel drove her to study in Ireland and England. Intent upon becoming a language teacher, she graduated with a BA in English Studies from Toulouse, passed her French Education Nationale CAPES exam, and taught ESL in Parisian secondary schools. Additionally, she studied French as a Foreign Language (FLE) in Montpellier and is now increasing her knowledge and skills with a master’s degree in FLE. Through her MA in sociolinguistics and French as a Modern Language, Violette specialized in the DELF Exam, especially in French immersion contexts. Having taught in several countries, she now teaches at La Petite École, the Alliance Française, and tutors French Language and Culture. Violette strives to offer her students efficient and dynamic lessons that build linguistic confidence in a welcoming environment. C’est parti!

Olivier Ngo

Olivier Ngo is the Higher Education and French Language Attaché at the French Consulate in Los Angeles (@FranceinLA) where he works to promote French language and to develop academic partnerships between the United States and France.

The mission of the French Embassy’s Cultural Services (@SpeakFrenchinLA) is to strengthen the presence of the French language in American primary, secondary, and post-secondary schools and to support research projects in Humanities and Social Sciences departments.
