This assessment can be achieved through the Alliance Française de Pasadena. Most of the students are able to pass the level A1 by third grade and A2 by fifth grade.
Stanford Foreign Language Oral Skills Evaluation Matrix (FLOSEM)
This is a teacher-evaluation of student oral competencies based on:
5 categories: comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar
6 levels: beginner to native-like
This evaluation is based on multiple observations of each student and is subjective.

K-Inventory is usually created by the school district by a team of teachers. Based on CCSS, this is an adapted version of Glendale USD's inventory for kinder French students.
