Definitions/Meaning
EV 5.4.4 Maintenance plugs must allow electrical separation of all TS accumulator segments, see EV 5.3.2. The separation must affect both poles of all segments including the first and last segment.
General Requirements
EV 5.4.5 Maintenance plugs must
• not require tools to separate the TS accumulator segments.
• be non-conductive on surfaces that do not provide any electrical connection.
• be designed in a way, that it is physically impossible to electrically connect them in any way other than the design intent configuration.
• protected against accidental reconnection.
• be designed such that it is clearly visible whether the connection is open or closed. Electrically controlled switches must not be used.
What Other teams did/What is on the market
• Fourmla in Germeny used ElecBee - Surlok Plus - 50mm2, in which current rating of the maintenance plugs is 200 A.
• Fourmla in University of Wisconsin-Madison, E208 used modle TE EVC 250. ( thier datasheet for it- https://www.te.com/commerce/DocumentDelivery/DDEController?Action=srchrtrv&DocNm=V23720-X0000-A001&DocType=DS&DocLang=English
In which current rating of the maintenance plugs is 250A.
Last Year 22:
we used in last year RHT-1P-8O-C50-R RHT-1S-8O-BL (Socket = PLUS (+) and the Plug = MINUS (-)) - you can see more clearly in the image aside above.
last year we used as you can see in the SRR RHT-1P-8O-C50-R RHT-1S-8O-BL. This year we are also going to use the same maintance plugs.
