Syracuse appears in the biblical narrative only as a stopover on Paul's journey to Rome.
After three months in Malta, following the shipwreck, the journey to Rome continues aboard another Alexandrian grain ship. Syracuse is their first stop after leaving Malta and the travelers spend three days there before continuing to Rhegium.
The modern town of Siracusa, is on the south-eastern coast of Sicily.
An account of my only visit to Siracusa, as part of following Paul's journey from Malta to Rome, is available here.
