The Theory of Knowledge essay is a 1,600-word analytical essay completed in DP2 and worth 67% of the final TOK grade. It builds on skills developed in the Exhibition (33%), requiring you to construct and evaluate knowledge claims using real-world examples across areas of knowledge. The TOK essay will be written in response to one of six prescribed titles (PTs) published by the IB each year.
