The paper 1 exam is an assessment which requires you to work in timed conditions on unseen, non-literary texts. At SL you write 1 essay in 1 hr 15 mins; at HL, you write 2 essays in 2 hrs 15 mins. The exam accounts for 35% of your final grade.
The assessment focusses on your ability to analyse texts and consider how the creator has generated meaning using stylistic features.
