Welcome to Finding Meaning, a site dedicated to helping you develop your love and understanding of all sorts of texts, both literary and non-literary.
On these pages, you will find guidance on how to develop your skills of analysis and communication. Hopefully this will lead to greater confidence and a deeper appreciation of a whole range of literary and non-literary texts. As well as various units of inquiry, there's key information about different IB Language and Literature assessments.
About me
I love reading, watching, and listening to all sorts of texts. But what really brings me joy is getting to do this with other people: arguing about a character's behaviour, debating the meaning of a symbol, discussing an author's intention, interpreting the message. This is where these texts come alive; this is where I find meaning.
I am an IB Workshop Leader in English and Theory of Knowledge. I am also an IB examiner, and have taught the MYP and DP in international schools for over 12 years. I qualified in the UK.
