Welcome to Thalos, the pride and joy of Northern America. This is the origination of everything you see today -- magic, our fine jewelry… Humanity’s very strength. Hence the nomers “City of Origination” and the “Modern Cradle of Civilization.” Originally a sleepy mining town in the middle of Western Canada’s coast, upon finding the now-revered Majium that powers all of humanity today, it became a pinnacle for humanity; it became hope for a better, higher quality of life for all humans, and drew attention from all around the planet. It took years for humanity to band together as one, but as you can see from the results, it was well worth the wait!
Thalos has a few districts -- all at different varying tiers, adding to the city’s mystique -- along with a few key locations that the general populace is aware of.
Below is a more detailed map with designated landmarks.

There are five districts Thalos is divided into; the Trading District, Commoner’s District, Uptown and its Diamond District, and The Slums.
The Breach is an extravagant gate, the main entrance to Thalos via land. It’s guarded and has an outpost out front, keeping watch for any invaders that seek to harm the peace the Company has brought to the land.
The small district you immediately are privy to upon coming through the The Breach, known as Queensgate. It’s a bit touristy, having a lot of high end shoppes meant for those with a lot of money to spend… It also tends to host most of the parades, and events held in Thalos, as it directly leads to the Majium Court. This area is generally heavy with different competing jewelers. Some can be found in the Trading District, but the ones licensed by the Company to sell inactive Majium jewelry tend to congragate here.
Commoner’s District, aka the Commons, is where the general middle-class live their day to day lives within the safe walls of the city. These people most often work in the Trades District, or farm outside the city, taking the highway by car. There’s a school, partitioned into Grade School and High School. It’s the most well known school within the city, as the sister school on the other side of the huge city is more exclusive, considered a private school. There’s a lot of agricultural land the average citizen can work in, in and around the Varalyn Plains, using the Ambrosia Ravine for irrigation.
The Majium Court is the central focus of the city, and is where all announcements and events held by the Company generally take place. All are encouraged to attend these events, and those in the Slums are actually, during major events, freely given access to the Majium Court to attend these important events.
The Maple Grove Public Park is the biggest park for those who do not have access to the Uptown. But it is by no means a small park; its many activities attract hundreds of visitors a day. It houses the largest library in the Commner's District, as well as three sport courts, a skatepark, a restaurant, and a natural trail. A bike path courses through the entire park, for those who want to exercise.
Trading District, aka Trades District is where those who specialize in trades generally set up shop. Tradesmen of all sorts can be found here selling any sorts of wares; Clothing, furniture… In the middle of the Trades District there can be found a farmer’s market where all sorts of kinds of goods can be found, available to the public. While this tends to be monitored rather well… for some reason, portions of food keeps going missing. Peacekeeper’s are still investigating as to what the cause might be, but we’re sure they’ll find the answer soon.
Market Plaza isn't so much a park as it is a market area. It is seen as one of the best places for merchants to set up shop, due to the large number of visitors that the place receives every day. You can find a bit of everything in here; from electronic devices to artisan crafts. And if you're hungry, there's food stalls from practically every corner of the Earth. Aside from the market, the plaza is home to its own shopping mall, and it also offers natural landscapes for its visitors to enjoy.
The Bridge, equipped with two peacekeeper stations on either side, is another sales market. It’s where Thalos’ fishermen often reside and sell their trades goods, as food from the bay is a staple in many of the city’s homes. It’s one of the first things a tourist will see coming from a ferry.
The Arid Dock, or more commonly known as Aridock, is where shipments from other continents as well as tourists often come in to see the great city after crossing Hunt’s Bay.
Uptown, known for its rich pleasures and it’s… rich, is where the highest and brightest of Thalos’ society resides. It’s home to a private school, called G.G. Godfrey Academy, known for its rigorous Peacekeeper training and well learned faculty. Within Uptown not only can you observe the Peacekeeper HQ for yourself, but you can gaze upon the true heart of Thalos; The Pinnacle.
The Pinnacle is home to all of Thalos’ greatest of the greats, filled with scientists looking to broaden and figure more out about the Majium element that had been found all those years ago, among the other highly educated. It’s said that the council, blessed by the gods themselves, heads Thalos and organizes the city’s defense as well as upkeep its integrity -- resides in the topmost floor of the Pinnacle.
The Uptown Central Gardens are located in the heart of Uptown. The vast piece of land is considered the biggest public park within Thalos, totaling an area of 1,301 acres. It's open to all residents of Uptown, and it includes many attractions such as a planetarium, a museum of natural history, a golf course (as well as many other sport courts,) many restaurants and cafés, and even an arena in which concerts are commonly held. But besides that, the park is home to many of the native flora and fauna in the region, and visitors often come to the park to enjoy its natural wonders.
The Diamond District is located within the district of Uptown, and is called Top-pocket by commoners for it is where the wealthy elite live. Extremely prestigious and expensive as it is, unless you are of the aristocracy you're generally not exactly welcome within the district... anyone under would be considered akin to a miscreant or peasant at best. Those who are clearly mutant status tend to be met with scrutiny, as not many mutants make it to the top.
The Slums, aka Terra, is the lowest part of the city, and is where most of Thalos' true mutant population resides. Once the shining beacon of Thalosian culture -- displaying art, theatre, artisanal goods -- the Terran District is a shell of its former glory. What is left sits, with dilapidated buildings -- shops, houses, outposts -- slowly crumbling due to neglect. It has low living costs though, compared to the rest of the city. Low income families tend to set up there, only moving to the Commoner's District if they have the funds.
The Green Field Park, also known simply as Green Field, is the only park within the Slums. It is not maintained by the authorities, and so it must be taken care of by the community. There's not many attractions, but its natural landscapes offer a small respite to those who might need it. There's a small play area for the children, and a wooded trail for the more adventurous visitors.
Outside of Thalos’ safe walls, there’s the Wildlands surrounding it. This area mostly comprised of a drier floodplain with few hills and even fewer residents called the Varalyn Plains, and houses the Peacekeeper Crossroads outpost. What isn't floodplain is elevated temperate forest that has diminished over time, the once large forest becoming Faerie's Wood and the Farwoods.
Faerie’s Wood was once a quiet smattering of dense forest and filled with wildlife of all kinds. Only recently has it become the Faerie’s Wood, due to rumours of Mutants and Peacekeepers alike going missing and never returning from the wood. Said to be stolen by the Faeries themselves, it is often recommended to the populace to completely avoid the woods, as its danger far outweighs its beauty. To add to its mysticism, within the last 50 years or so, nothing has been able to fly over the woods without malfunctioning...
The Crossroads, under surveillance 24/7 by Peacekeepers, is a road junction that splits off to different roads leading to various other cities and farms in the local area. Despite it’s surveillance, it’s one of the most dangerous areas to after night, as there have been tales of attacks from above by unknown assailants. Often after these attacks, supplies given by Thalos to the outpost tend to disappear.
Connected to the Pacific Ocean, Thalosian Sea is the rather small bay in which the Arid Dock is situated.
The Ambrosia Ravine is the major ravine running from the local mountains is a primary supply of Thalos’ fresh water.
