In Finding Sanctuary, the activities you do will earn you experience and Dehlars (still $). In this journal you can see how things are graded depending on the category, as well as how levelling works.
Your character, as you participate in and around the group will earn experience and be able to put that towards going up in levels. You start at Level 1, and can cap out at Level 20. Levels are your primary of earning stats. For every 2 levels you earn 1 stat. (You start on level 1. Earning two more levels than that would be 3. You earn one stat, on hitting level three. Then another on hitting level five, etc.) Other stats can also be earned occasionally through the odd quest here and there, but it’s not common.
Starting at Level 1, to progress to Level 2 you must earn 40 experience. Upon reaching 40 experience, you hit Level 2, your current experience is set to zero, and your next needed amount to reach is an extra +5 to the previous total, making it 45.
Level 2 → 45
Level 3 → 50
Level 4 → 55
Level 5 → 60
...And so on so forth, until Level 20.
You’ll be required to keep track of your own experience and stats! So it’s mandatory to have a tracker for each of your characters so you have the right amount of experience and subsequently stats. A template for a tracker to get you started can be found here.
In Finding Sanctuary, the mod team keeps record of your Dehlars and your character's total Experience as well as their Reputation tokens. You may also keep all of this information on a tracker if you wish. To redeem rewards for art, literature, or other activities you have participated in, we ask you look in the discord server and follow the instructions laid out within #art-n-rp and #quests channels that can be found there. A Lorekeeper or Librarian will help you as soon as they can!
Everything that they grade will be based on the point scale below, and be given out at once. Keep in mind, if the image is static or a simple fullbody as stated in the Experience section, it will only be counted for Dehlars, not experience.
Please Note; As of January 24th, 2020 it is asked that you have a maximum of ten separate sketches on a sketchdump, and that they be clearly labeled from one to ten. This is to make it easier to count for the Librarians and prevent clutter. Thank you! <3
Money, known universally as the world’s Dehlar, is the primary award earned through quests, events and general group participation by way of writing submissions, or art submissions. You will find that you more often earn money and get more of it than experience so it can be spent at the group’s shop. but it's your responsibility to track how much you've earned. If you would like to keep track of where you get your money and when you spend it, a premade tracker for currencies can be found here.
Experience is earned primarily through event participation and quests. However, some can be earned from your art or writing, just not as much. Only thing is, is your character has to be doing something. Can’t just be a fullbody -- what is your character doing? What are they interacting with? Having your character experience something is what will earn them experience after all! If they have more friends with them, then they'll get experience with them too!
