Welcome to Malipayon!

Malipayon is one of the communities in the municipality of Punta. It is facing the Pacific Ocean while the eastern part is bounded by San Roque Bay.

The coastal community of Malipayon is primarily a fishing village, almost half (44%) of its total household population depends on fishing for their livelihood and source of income.

The average age of fishers is 40. There are local traders, who buy from 10-15 fishers at a time. These traders then sell the fish to the public market or to neighboring towns.
