It is possible to use a tablet or any other Android device to display and interact with the MFDs, ICP, DED and RWR panels. We need to install the server on the PC, and the client on the Android device.
After installing the server, the configuration is pretty straight forward:
C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1\User\Config folderImage 1. Server configuration
Once you have all the Simulation Cods set, the server is running and nothing else must be done here. We can now launch the client application in your Android device.
1. Install the client from Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=arifkomurculer.falconmfd&hl=en1.
2. Launch the app and click on the green button on the top left corner, and select 'SET'
2. Check that the Server settings and Client settings are correct:
If some of the settings are not correct, you must tap on the affected setting and change it. Note that when you tap in one of the settings, the Android keyboard will pop up and block the setting dialog. In order to be able to save any change, you must go through the remaining settings by tapping 'Next' until you reach the last setting, so the keyboard will disappear and you will be able to save the changes. See below:
One important step to be done in Falcon BMS simulator before going live is to select the key file configured in the Server configuration steps. For this tutorial, we used BMS Saitek X-52.key
From now on, every time you want to play Falcon BMS using the Falcon MFD 2 app, you must follow these steps:
