On the bed of broken chords rises a cantabile melody. That is Sergio Antonio del Rio’s homage to the Irish composer John Field. Field is well known as instigator of Nocturne. In honor of him del Rio composed his Character piece and imitates the mood of a mild summer evening.

The composer played his homage to the Irish composer John Field in spring 2017 on a grand piano by Steinway.
