Outcome 4: Learning in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) points out that the children must be confident and engaged learners. This is something that Goodstart Early Learning Bayswater north Goodstart Early Learning center  is keen on as they encourage children to take an active role in their education, learn new things, and use that knowledge to their advantage. The centre encourages learning that is challenging and attainable, which helps in the cognitive development of each child and encourages their curiosity. Goodstart promotes creative activities as one of the main methods of making children confident learners because they encourage them to use their imagination and think critically. According to (R. Howard, 2022) creative play is crucial to the cognitive development of young children since it enables young children to generate new ideas, solve any problem, and express themselves creatively . Goodstart also offers children the chance to participate in a range of creative play, including drawing, painting, block building and role playing. Such activities enable children to explore various materials, build fine motor skills, and make sense of the surrounding world. Children are able to think creatively and come up with problem-solving strategies through such experiences.

In addition, problem-solving is another factor that Goodstart children learn. Teachers develop learning situations that make children think and solve problems. An example is the provision of puzzles to the children, building challenges to solve, or science experiments to be carried out. Such activities force children to engage their mental powers to solve problems, which cultivates their problem-solving capacity and teaches them how to be persistent and resilient. These activities are facilitated by children being given the right support and encouragement to be able to feel good as they face the challenges and learn their lessons. Teachers at Goodstart are also aware of the importance of learning among peers. The children tend to work in groups, and in those groups, they cooperate, exchange ideas and learn. Group activities not only promote the cognitive development of children but also develop valuable social skills, i.e. cooperation, communication, empathy. Through interaction with peers, children are able to get fresh ideas and their knowledge on things is enhanced further, as they develop positive relations with others.
