Spring 2020

Blessed to be Working!

JAARS Clinic is offering TeleMed in lieu of face-to-face patient care. Michelle goes into the Clinic following strict protocol to prepare patients' charts for PA consults and submit any orders. The Clinic director joked that staff members could work in their PJs. Michelle had no problems complying. Michelle is sewing masks for distribution to both Charlotte-area healthcare workers and the JAARS community. She also still helps patients needing injections and since the Clinic is closed, she offers curbside service!

God is using Loren to help Wycliffe missionaries around the world who have Internet access to work and learn from home. Pray for those in remote areas who not only need these resources for work, but also fellowship and encouragement. Shelter-in-place has been a good change in pace; quality time with God and family reflecting on His provision. Loren is catching up on house projects. Michelle is finishing craft projects started YEARS ago.

FAMILY UPDATE

Last week, after finishing his degree and having one year working with CompuCom, Matthew accepted a new job in IT support with Duke Energy. He will start working from home April 13, and eventually commute to Uptown Charlotte. God is so good!

Zack turned 20 and finishes his welding degree in September. He is a shift manager at Taco Bell in Waxhaw. Pray for God to protect him while he serves our community.

PRAISE AND PRAYER

Do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving,

let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

  • Praying you have a blessed celebration of our Savior's victory over sin and death!
  • Praise God for our 10th anniversary at Wycliffe with your prayers and support!
  • Prayers regarding Coronavirus:
    • Safety for the JAARS community and Clinic.
    • For God to be glorified as we serve Him during social (not relational) distancing.
  • Pray God gives wisdom to our boys and parents as they move into new stages of life.
